Thank you. Payment Schedule Packages based upon double occupancy may be assigned room shares, if you are traveling alone. If we cannot pair you with a roommate, you will be charged the single occupancy rate. Triple rates are available for travelers with children 12 and under. Please inquire. Once your deposit is made your trip is booked. You may make your payments at any time, but must adhere to the amounts shown on the schedule below. For example, by December 14th, for double occupany, the amount that should have been paid by that time is $1,160. All final payments are due no later than April 14, 2014. If payments are late, the cost of your booking may increase and we reserve the right to change your accommodations if required, which includes cancellation of your trip and penalties. How To Make Your Payments May be made via personal or business check, money order or electronically via PayPal, as well dropped-off to our office. For all payments made via PayPal, you will be billed for all PayPal fees. These fees will be due on or before your final payment. Once your final payment is received, you will receive a confirmation and our E-Book on Ghana as our gift to you. We cannot individually contact each passenger for each mailed payment received. However, should you require payment confirmation, please send your payments via Certified Mail, Return Receipt or another route which would require a signature. All checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged to your account. Electronic Payments Via PayPal. You will billed for transaction fees incurred (2.9%+.30 USD). For example for payments of $400 via PayPal, you will be charged $11.90). All PayPal fees will be due by the final payment date of April 14, 2014. We have great people who travel with us and often may do not have traveling companions. The good news, we all become like family on our trips. If you are in need of a room share, we will do our best to assign you a roommate. If we cannot pair you with a suitable roommate in time, you will be responsible for the single occupancy rate. Land-Only Packages If you are planning to provide your own flights, your trip with us begins in Ghana and not Amsterdam. You are responsible for your own flights to and from Ghana. Please keep in mind Delta may make flight changes, so you are advised to check with us prior to purchasing your ticket if you will travel on Delta Airlines. If you do not arrive at Kotoka International Airport in Accra at the same time as our flight, you will have to provide your own ground transporation from the airport to the hotel. Taxis are readily available at the airport. In addition, you will be responsible for providing your own transporation for your departure flight. We are not responsible for any individual's air travel, on our land only package, who book their flights separate from our group. First Class/Business Class We may be able to negotiate a small discounted rate from Delta Airlines. Please inquire with us. Discounted Air Passengers Only to Ghana If you are traveling to Ghana only, we may be able to provide you with discounted air costs via Delta Airlines if you book with us by November 14th, 2013. A VALID PASSPORT AND VISA ARE REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL TO GHANA
Click Here to Apply for a Passport Once your trip is booked (deposit received), we will send you information on how to obtain your VISA and a Letter of Invitation from our Ghanian government host. VISAs for our groups, usually take one week. IMMUNIZATION/SHOT – REQUIRED A Yellow Fever Shot is required to travel to Ghana. In Georgia, the Department of Health issues the shot for approximately $40 or you may obtain from your private physician—just make sure you receive proof of the shot to bring with you. ANTI-MALARIA MEDICINE is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for travel to Senegal and should be obtained from your doctor or a health department. UNDER 18 YEARS OLD: May attend the trip to Ghana, with parent/guardian or another adult traveling with them. CONFERENCE CALL:We will schedule one conference call prior to our departure for everyone to participate. You will be notified via email. On the call, we will discuss group activities, how to dress, what to bring, etc. to make your trip comfortable and rewarding. Ghana 2014 Trip Policies BOOKING Your booking becomes official once a deposit is made. Upon receipt you will receive your first trip Summary Statement, as well as other trip information. You will receive monthly (or quarterly) trip summary statements with payment information and important messages. Statements are sent via email or fax. Our staff will keep in touch on a regular basis (at least monthly), via email. You will receive a ton of pertinent information on Ghana, including videos, websites, articles, and other information to get you accumulated for your visit as well as instructions for meeting at the airport prior to departure. In addition, if you are Delta SkyMiles member, we will ensure your flight is credited to your account. Also let us know if you prefer vegetarian meals on the flights. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations shall be in writing subject to the following penalties: 10% prior to December 14, 2013 25% prior to February 14, 2014 50% prior to April 14, 2014 100% made after April 14, 2014 and prior to group's departure of May 14, 2014 and/or during trip. In addition, once coach class airline tickets are issued, they are nonrefundable, but we may grant you an Delta travel credit depending upon cancellation date. You are advised to purchase travel insurance if you feel your travel plans may change. In addition, PayPal fees paid are not refundable. Cancellations must be confirmed with the Eford Group International LLC in writing either by e-mail or postal mail. Where the client fails to inform the tour operator the client will nevertheless be billed as per the terms stated above. The Eford Group International LLC has to confirm receipt of cancellation for it to become valid. OPTIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE can be purchased separately for approximately $150 per person. DELTA AIRLINE POLICIES We will follow all policies of Delta Airlines for the air portion of the trip which states: “Delta reserves the right to change equipment or schedules without notice. Delta assumes no responsibility or liability for delays or cancellations due to weather, or any other cause beyond Delta's control. Delta's sole liability to ticketed passengers for delays or cancellations due to weather, or any other cause beyond Delta's control is to refund the ticket in the original form of payment. If the delay or cancellation results from factors within Delta's control, we will transport your ticketed group to their destination on our next flight on which seats are available in the class of service originally purchased. Passengers may also be entitled to a partial refund or certain other amenities in some cases. Delta assumes no liability for delays or cancellations of flights for groups that have reserved but not yet ticketed seats, although we will attempt to accommodate these groups as well.” VISITING AMSTERDAM We are not responsible for any delays or denials which may prevent you from leaving the Schiphol Amsterdam airport and no portion of your trip will be refunded or credited if that occurs.
